A visit to the Lower School Garden!
Macayla was surprised to see her dad as the surprise reader for the 20th day of school! He read Always In Trouble by Corinne Demas to the class.
The children were introduced to the scientific method through an experiment using gummy bears. Four gummy bears were placed in
different liquids and were left over night (water, baking soda and water, salt
and water, and food coloring and water). The children first made predictions
about what they thought would happen to the gummy bears.
Some of the predictions were: The gummy bear will float, the gummy bear will change color, the water will change color, and the gummy bear will break apart.
The next day, we observed the gummy bears and drew conclusions as to what happened to each gummy bear in the different liquids.
